Vacature | Assistent van de VBL Regionale Hoofdcoach
De Vlaamse Boks Liga werft in 2026 assistent-coaches aan voor het regionale ontwikkelingsprogramma. Het programma zoekt 15 enthousiaste en gekwalificeerde personen. De functies zijn vrijwillig met vergoeding van onkosten. We verwachten flexibiliteit en bereidheid om op onregelmatige uren te werken (vooral in het weekend). Je kan je minstens 12 regionale sessies per jaar engageren.
Taken en verantwoordelijkheden
- De TDT (Technisch Directeur Topsport) en de regionale hoofdcoach ondersteunen bij de uitvoering van alle technische en tactische sessies in het VBL-regionale performanceprogramma.
- Het sportwetenschappelijke team ondersteunen bij de uitvoering van hun specifieke discipline, waar passend.
- Teamleiderrol opnemen voor een toegewezen regionale leeftijdsgroep (teamadministratie en talentidentificatie).
- Regionale performanceboksers ondersteunen in binnen- en buitenland tijdens trainingsstages en competities.
- Overleggen met TDT en regionale hoofdcoach over de geplande programma’s van de toegewezen groep.
- Groeikans: doorstromen naar het VBL high-performanceprogramma.
Essentiële vereisten
- VBL-diploma Initiator of een gelijkwaardige opleiding.
- Teamgeest en open communicatie met de andere coaches, de TDT en de regionale hoofdcoach.
- Goede beheersing van het Engels.
Gewenste vereisten
- Internationale ervaring als coach.
- IBA/WB-kwalificatie niveau 1 of hoger.
- Bachelor in een sportgerelateerd domein.
- Ervaring met het trainen van junior-, youth- en eliteboksers op internationaal niveau.
- Goede beheersing van het Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
Praktisch
- Periode: 2026
- Vergoeding: terugbetaling van redelijke onkosten zoals vastgesteld door het VBL-bestuur.
- Sollicitatie: bezorg een up-to-date cv en een motivatiebrief (max. 500 woorden). Geselecteerde kandidaten worden uitgenodigd voor een gesprek en praktische proeven.

Vacancy | Assistant to the VBL Regional Head Coach
Vlaamse Boks Liga will recruit assistant coaches in 2026 to join the regional development programme. The programme is seeking 15 enthusiastic and qualified individuals. Roles are voluntary with reimbursement of expenses. We expect flexibility and willingness to work unsocial hours (mainly weekends). A minimum commitment of 12 regional sessions per year is required.
Responsibilities & duties
- Support the TDT (Technical Director Topsport) and the regional head coach to implement all technical and tactical sessions within the VBL regional performance programme.
- Support the sports science team in implementing their specific discipline where appropriate.
- Take an assigned role as team leader for a specific regional age group (team administration and talent identification).
- Support regional performance boxers at home and abroad during training camps and competitions.
- Consult with the TDT and the regional head coach about the planned programmes of the assigned group.
- Progression opportunity: pathway to working with the VBL high performance programme.
Essential requirements
- VBL Initiator diploma or equivalent training.
- Team spirit and open communication with fellow coaches, the TDT and the regional head coach.
- Good command of the English language.
Desirable requirements
- International coaching experience.
- IBA/WB level 1 qualification or higher.
- Sports-related Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience coaching junior, youth and elite boxers at international level.
- Good command of Dutch, French and English.
